Speech Language Pathologist in Jefferson, SC
Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ success as a contract speech-language pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time opportunity allows you to make a real difference in the lives of children from pre-K through high school (3K-12th grade), serving a variety of ability levels across multiple attendance areas.
Use your expertise to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver crucial speech and language services. You’ll work up to 40 hours per week, providing therapy, conducting screenings and evaluations, developing IEPs, and offering consultation to ensure every student’s individual needs are recognized and supported.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Hold or be eligible for SLP licensure in South Carolina
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) will be considered
- Prior experience delivering speech-language services in a school or pediatric setting helpful
- Commitment to working with diverse student populations, including a range of ages and ability levels
- Strong team communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive speech-language evaluations
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers and families
- Document progress, maintain records, and help develop communication strategies for classrooms
- Travel between assigned sites, which may include locations in Pageland, Chesterfield, Cheraw, Jefferson, or McBee attendance zones
This contract spans from July 22, 2026, through May 28, 2027, giving you the stability of a full academic year engagement.
