School Speech Language Pathologist - Saint Johns, Florida
Exciting opportunities are available for certified Speech Language Pathologists (CCC) to support students across Pre K-12 in a dynamic school setting. This contract role, beginning as soon as possible and running through late May 2026, involves working full-time (35 hours per week/7 hours per day) as an itinerant SLP traveling between multiple school sites. The position serves students with mild to moderate needs, and caseloads will be determined based on your assigned locations—estimated at around 60 students.
Preferred candidates will bring strong expertise in school-based speech therapy, experience with varied age groups, and the ability to adapt quickly in a multifaceted environment. Collaboration with education teams, active engagement with student progress, and flexibility with travel between campuses are essential for success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Florida DOH SLP Licensure (required)
- ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required; this posting is not open to SLP Clinical Fellows (CFs)
- Recent experience working in a school environment preferred
- Familiarity with mild/moderate student populations from preschool through high school
- Capable of managing a caseload of approximately 60 students, with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work exclusively on-site (no virtual opportunities)
- Successful completion of state and district fingerprinting, with JLA badge eligibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech/language therapy services according to students’ IEPs
- Participate in meetings, evaluations, and collaborative planning
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely reports
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families
