Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Irvine, CA
Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a part-time, onsite contract basis. This position focuses on making a difference in young learners’ communication and educational outcomes through evidence-based speech and language therapy.
You’ll work 24 hours each week, managing a school-based, itinerant caseload. Flexibility and a passion for collaboration are key, as you’ll be assessing students, setting individualized goals, participating in IEP meetings, and delivering direct therapy services. Daily travel between multiple school sites is part of the assignment, so adaptability and organizational skills are important.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience with elementary-age students in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with SEIS (Special Education Information System) is a plus
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Reliable transportation for travel between assigned sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct, evidence-based speech and language therapy onsite
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress monitoring
