Step into a rewarding school-based Speech-Language Pathology opportunity in the vibrant Coachella Valley for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite contract role focuses on supporting the communication needs of PreK students—an area of highest priority—while offering a diverse caseload that includes mostly mild-moderate needs, with some severe needs and AAC involvement. Bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred to better serve the student population. The district anticipates a high demand for SLPs, and there’s real potential for this role to include itinerant responsibilities. This educational setting values a collaborative approach, providing you with exposure to a wide variety of student needs and access to professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holds ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or is a Clinical Fellow (CF)
  • Experience in school settings or familiarity with SEIS documentation, preferred
  • Previous experience with California Medicaid (Paradigm), a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable
  • Certificate of Clearance (COC) required prior to start
  • Flexibility to travel within the district as an itinerant therapist if needed
  • Experience with AAC devices and various communication disorders

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to students in PreK and possibly other grades
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines, utilizing SEIS when appropriate
  • Adapt therapy for students utilizing AAC technology
