Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ growth and communication skills across multiple educational settings. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a difference within a collaborative environment, working full-time from 9am to 4:40pm, Monday through Friday, during the academic year (August 25, 2026, through May 27, 2027).
In this role, you will provide targeted speech and language services primarily at the high school level—serving approximately 11 students in specialized ESC and BEST classrooms—while also contributing overflow support at a nearby middle school and potentially another site two days per week. The varied caseload offers the chance to interact with a range of student needs and collaborate widely with educational teams.
Qualifications & Experience Desired
- Valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience in school-based settings, with a focus on secondary school populations preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different educational environments
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and student-centered care
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver speech and language therapy services per IEP requirements for students in ESC, BEST, and general education
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families across multiple sites to support student achievement
- Complete documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with district and legal guidelines
- Travel between assigned schools as scheduled throughout the workweek
