Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Huntington Beach, CA
Make a meaningful impact supporting students from TK through 8th grade as a dedicated speech-language pathologist. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant school setting located near Huntington Beach, CA. The position runs from September 1, 2026, through February 10, 2026, following a weekday schedule from 7:30am to 4:00pm, totaling 37.5 hours weekly.
Successful candidates will demonstrate experience delivering both direct therapy and completion of comprehensive bilingual (Spanish and English) speech-language evaluations. You'll play a key role in writing assessment reports, developing individualized service schedules, and providing evidence-based interventions that help students advance in their communication and academic growth.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- School-based, pediatric, and healthcare SLP experience required
- Strong background in conducting bilingual (Spanish/English) evaluations and assessments
- Skilled in report writing, documentation, and managing service schedules
- Experience with students in grades TK-8
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred
What You’ll Do:
- Perform speech-language assessments, including bilingual evaluations when needed
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver both direct and consultative speech therapy services
- Prepare clear, thorough evaluation reports and documentation
- Coordinate scheduling and service delivery in collaboration with school staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
