Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Salinas, CA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a speech-language pathologist during the Extended School Year (ESY) session this summer. This role takes place from June 16 through July 10, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact for children in a vibrant educational setting near Salinas, CA.
Ideal candidates have experience or training in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology, and are comfortable working with diverse caseloads. Whether you hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or are looking for a valuable Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) placement, your expertise and compassion are valued.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- California SLP licensure or eligibility
- ASHA Certification (CCC) strongly preferred, CFY candidates welcome
- Experience working in pediatric, school, or healthcare SLP settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based interventions and inclusive practices
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students per Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Screen, assess, and evaluate communication skills to develop effective treatment goals
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student participation and progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports
- Provide support and resources to families regarding student communication needs
