Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license in the state of Ohio or eligibility to obtain one
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants considered
- Prior experience working in a school environment is highly desirable
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
- Capacity to adapt therapy techniques to the needs of diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students ranging from preschool to high school
- Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of student progress and services rendered
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to share insights and strategize effective interventions
- Educate teachers and families on strategies to support communication development in the classroom and at home
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements relevant to school-based speech-language services
