Middle School Elementary Speech Therapist in Henrico, VA
A full-time itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available serving elementary and middle school students in Henrico, VA. This role offers an enriching school-based setting with a manageable caseload, allowing focus on impactful student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders for elementary and middle school students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Travel between multiple schools within the assigned area to deliver therapy services.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Experience working with pediatric populations required; prior school-based experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and educators.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students, never exceeding 55.
- Flexibility and adaptability for itinerant service delivery across elementary and middle school settings.
