School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Henderson, Nevada
Improve communication outcomes for students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist supporting educational programs on a contract basis. This position focuses on collaborating within school environments, providing expert speech-language services, and fostering meaningful progress for children and young adults.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in the state of Nevada.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IEP procedures and the ability to collaborate as part of multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech-language therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Complete required documentation, track student progress, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school district and state mandates.
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing professional insight to support optimal outcomes.
- Provide support and consultation to teachers and school personnel regarding speech and language concerns.
- Develop engaging and effective therapy plans tailored to each student's unique learning needs.
