School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Hemet, California
Step into a rewarding opportunity providing dedicated support for students in a thriving elementary school environment. This contract role runs from August 10, 2026, through December 2026, with the possibility—but not a guarantee—of extending through the full academic year. You’ll deliver services in three medically fragile classrooms, working alongside a skilled SLP and SLPA, to ensure comprehensive speech-language support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- School-based experience, particularly serving medically fragile populations
- Recent hands-on expertise with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on medically complex learners
- Utilize AAC devices to support student communication, adapting strategies per individual needs
- Work closely with teachers, families, and allied professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Document assessment results, develop progress reports, and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning atmosphere within the team
