A dynamic opportunity is available for experienced Speech Language Pathologists to provide essential services in a school setting located in Hayward, CA. This full-time or part-time contract position offers flexible scheduling from ASAP through the end of the school year, supporting students' speech and language development effectively within an educational environment. There are currently three openings to be filled promptly.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure successful student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and provide guidance related to speech-language development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification: CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA) required; CFY or school-based certification preferred.
- Proven experience working as an SLP within schools, demonstrating knowledge of school-based intervention strategies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility to work either full-time or part-time schedules as needed.
- Candidates with Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentials will be considered starting in December.
- Note: Voice Output Communication Aids (VOCO) experience is not required for this role.
