Speech-Language Pathologist in Hayward, CA
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in Hayward, CA. This contract role supports students with moderate to severe needs and offers a consistent, focused work environment at a single campus location.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy to a caseload of 15-20 students with moderate to severe communication disorders
- Collaborating with educational staff to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress
- Conducting assessments, delivering interventions, and documenting services in compliance with school policies
- Maintaining communication with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
This assignment runs through the end of the current school year, with the possibility of extension based on mutual fit. The work schedule is five days per week, totaling 40 hours.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Certification or licensure as an SLP or SLPA with experience in a school-based setting
- Proven ability to work with students exhibiting moderate to severe communication challenges
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a school environment
- Flexibility and openness to support either SLP or SLPA roles depending on experience
This role involves working at campuses located in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale areas. Employees will remain at one campus for the full workday; no driving between sites is required.
