Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (required)
- Active Louisiana state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Prior experience in a school-based environment working with elementary-age children is desirable
- Strong collaboration, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to meet district credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students within assigned elementary schools (primarily west bank campuses)
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized education plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to help guide educational interventions
- Adapt services based on student progress and school needs throughout the contract period (ASAP–5/22/2026)
