This contract position focuses on supporting students’ communication growth, working with a manageable caseload of 30-40 elementary-aged students. You’ll be collaborating onsite alongside educational professionals, addressing speech and language needs that make a real difference in students’ lives across the school year.
Qualifications:
- Active Michigan SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Prior experience in a school setting desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively serve diverse student needs in an elementary population
- Commitment through the duration of the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans for speech and language disorders
- Provide direct therapy and monitor progress for a caseload of 30-40 elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to facilitate student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school district policies
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and help design student goals
- Deliver therapy in compliance with all ethical, legal, and professional standards
Position Details:
- Contract position through June 18, 2027
- 32.5 hours per week, onsite at a local elementary school
