Speech Language Pathologist in Haltom City, TX
Step into a dynamic contract role supporting PK–5th grade students in an engaging school environment near Haltom City, TX. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Texas SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school-based settings or working with children, especially PK–5th grade
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to serve general education, special education resource, and self-contained populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver speech-language therapy to students PK–5th across various educational programs
- Manage a caseload of 60–65 students, maintaining documentation and data in alignment with school and state requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to address student needs and contribute to IEP meetings
- Monitor student progress, adjust interventions, and maintain clear communication regarding supports and outcomes
- Provide input for program development and student transition planning as needed
