Step into a fulfilling contract role providing vital speech-language pathology services within a supportive school setting near Grain Valley, MO. This opportunity covers the 2026-2027 academic year, with a schedule spanning 9am – 4:40pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring a strong work-life balance in a full-time capacity.
You’ll work primarily across Liberty High School, Heritage Middle School, and potentially a third location. At Liberty High School, the focus will be on serving students within ESC and BEST classrooms—approximately 11 students—three days per week. The remainder of your days will involve providing overflow support at the middle school and potentially at another building, allowing you to collaborate with a range of teams and student populations.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Current, valid SLP license in Missouri
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting and familiarity with ESC/BEST classroom models preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload across multiple buildings
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to eligible students in diverse classroom settings
- Assess communication skills and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide overflow support as needed, adapting quickly to evolving caseloads
