You’ll work split between Liberty High School (primarily in specialized ESC and BEST classrooms) and Heritage Middle School, with possible assignments at an additional nearby building. Expect to collaborate with dedicated educational teams while delivering speech and language services to students with a range of needs. The weekday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 4:40 PM, allows for a balanced workday while making a meaningful impact on student growth.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP-CCC credential (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Active SLP state license
- At least one year of experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
- Collaborative approach with special education and general education teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students across assigned buildings
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), implement therapy plans, and monitor progress
- Provide “overflow” support where needed in middle school settings
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and federal guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and parent conferences
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment for students of varying abilities
