Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Ability to tailor therapy plans for various student needs and IEP goals
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and continued professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop and document individualized education programs (IEPs) alongside multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct group and one-on-one therapy sessions
- Educate families and staff regarding students’ progress and ways to reinforce skills
- Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports
- Collaborate with other educators and related service staff to support student success in the classroom
- Participate in IEP and team meetings as required
