Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Indiana SLP license required
- Indiana Department of Education (DOE) certification required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in a school-based setting and familiarity with K-12 student needs
- Strong assessment, testing, and therapy planning skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to K-12 students in-person, addressing a range of communication challenges
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to determine students’ eligibility and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and maintain open communication with families and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive support and intervention
- Track student progress through accurate documentation and reporting
- Stay current with best practices and state guidelines in school-based speech-language pathology
