Travel School Speech Pathology | Garfield, New Jersey
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a travel assignment in Garfield, NJ, serving a school environment one day per week. This role offers a structured schedule and the opportunity to work with a diverse student population experiencing primarily Communication Impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students across 7 individual sessions each workday, ensuring clear focus without combining groups.
- Deliver therapy tailored to various communication disabilities, adapting approaches as necessary.
- Collaborate with school staff to support students’ communication goals within the educational setting.
- Document student progress and maintain session records in compliance with clinical standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC).
- Eligibility to work as a Clinical Fellow (SLP - CFY) or demonstrated experience in pediatric school-based speech therapy.
- Familiarity with pediatric populations within school settings.
- Experience related to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is not required.
- Ability to print and maintain neat, professional documentation.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Position requires availability one day per week.
- Daily work hours from 8:40 AM to 2:10 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break.
- Work location is in Garfield, New Jersey.
- This is a travel role providing the chance to experience school-based therapy in a new setting.
