Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility)
- Experience providing speech and language services to children, preferably in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and fellow staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Organizational skills for managing caseload and required documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in conjunction with educators and families
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students in kindergarten through fifth grade
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and required reports
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and special education teams to support students’ success in the classroom
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain up-to-date with best practices in speech-language pathology
