A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Half Moon Bay, CA. This role involves full-time itinerant work with potential options for travel or a hybrid schedule, providing specialized speech therapy services primarily within elementary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language pathology services to students across K-12.
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and track student progress in accordance with district guidelines.
- Participate in paid team meetings and complete administrative duties related to therapy services.
- Provide or receive supervision as required for professional development and compliance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credential.
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and therapeutic space requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in itinerant and hybrid models, including willingness to travel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Additional Information:
- The district utilizes a caseload model; specific caseload caps and workload expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
- Training is provided related to district IEP systems and educational program initiatives.
- Fingerprinting and background clearance are required prior to the start date.
