Speech Language Pathologist in Frederick, MD
Make a positive impact supporting elementary students by providing expert speech-language therapy services. This full-time contract opportunity places you across multiple elementary sites, offering a dynamic and rewarding caseload of approximately 35-45 students. Your specialized skills as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC, school-based) will be essential in fostering communication growth and academic success in students from October 1 through June 4.
Responsibilities include direct therapy sessions, conducting evaluations, developing individualized education plans, collaborating with teachers and parents, and maintaining thorough documentation. You’ll be able to work within a team-oriented environment while exercising independence and creativity in your daily work.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Maryland SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based speech-language pathology experience is preferred
- Experience managing elementary-aged caseloads is an advantage
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to students across multiple elementary schools
- Develop IEP goals and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Conduct assessments and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support each student’s goals
- Facilitate engaging therapy sessions individually and in small groups
- Attend meetings as required and participate in the IEP process
Work Schedule:
- Full-time hours, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
