Preferred Background and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Recent experience in a school-based SLP role, providing services to K-12 students
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress documentation
- Skilled in both in-person intervention and telepractice platforms or willingness to quickly learn virtual service delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and multiple team members—including virtual professionals
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students individually and in small groups, both in-person and via telepractice as needed
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to identify student needs and inform intervention plans
- Develop and implement IEP goals focusing on communication, language, articulation, and social skills
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of student progress, therapy sessions, and parent communications
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
