School Speech Language Pathologist - Flint, MI

Make a meaningful impact as a Speech Language Pathologist through a rewarding contract opportunity working with K-12 students in the Flint, MI area. Multiple openings are available for dedicated professionals passionate about helping students reach their full communication potential.
You will work primarily onsite, providing speech and language therapy, assessments, and interventions tailored for a diverse urban student population. Preference is given to seasoned SLPs, but motivated Clinical Fellows (CFYs) with an established supervisor in place are welcome to be considered. Strong, experienced candidates may be open to a VOCO arrangement if onsite is not feasible.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Speech Language Pathology license in Michigan (CFYs must hold a temporary license).
- Completion of a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology; official university transcripts required before consideration.
- Experience in a K-12 school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities.
- Understanding of the unique challenges faced by children in urban environments; be prepared to discuss strategies and resources for supporting these students and their families.
- SLP-CCC preferred, but CFYs may be considered, especially with supervision established.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech and language therapy to K-12 students.
- Conduct thorough assessments, create treatment plans, and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Provide accurate records and reports within required timelines.
- Serve as a supportive advocate for students with communication needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration.
This assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and runs through June 11, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour work week.
