School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Flint, Michigan

Candidates will manage a diverse caseload, from nonverbal preschoolers up to secondary students, each presenting a unique range of communication needs. At the secondary level, caseload numbers are smaller (fewer than 10 students), but every student receives specialized and meaningful speech-language support. Onsite, the district will also consider SLPAs with VOCO SLP supervision.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current ASHA CCC’s and state licensure (or eligibility)
- Experience or interest in school-based settings, serving pre-K through secondary students
- Competence in case management, including IEP development, meetings, progress updates, and Medicaid billing
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists
- Comfortable delivering services onsite or via teletherapy
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and consultation to students with varied needs, from articulation and language to AAC and functional communication
- Conduct evaluations for new referrals and reevaluations as required
- Manage caseload documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, and compliance with Medicaid billing
- Participate in IEP meetings during the school day and contribute your expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team
