School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Amherst, Massachusetts
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide essential support during a leave of absence at an elementary school in Amherst, MA. This contract role is designed for a credentialed SLP with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) who is experienced in school settings.
Position Details:
- Location: Elementary school serving grades K-4
- Dates: Immediate start through February 13, 2026
- Hours: 17 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students individually, in small groups, or within inclusion classrooms
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine IEP eligibility
- Develop, implement, and participate in IEP meetings and goal writing processes
- Monitor and document student progress thoroughly to support educational outcomes
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate student success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP - CCC certification
- Experience providing SLP services within school environments
- Skilled in conducting evaluations and managing IEP documentation
- Ability to work effectively with young children (grades K-4)
- Must be prepared to complete all district onboarding requirements promptly
