Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Federal Way, WA
Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a full-time, school-based contract position for the first semester of the 2026-2027 school year. Based in the Tacoma area and serving students near Federal Way, WA, this assignment runs from August 2026 through December 2026. You’ll partner closely with educators, administrators, and families to enhance student success and communication skills.
What You’ll Bring:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Washington SLP License
- Washington ESA Certification, or willingness to obtain
- SLP-CCC required
- Previous school-based experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent ability to collaborate with various school professionals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and speech-language interventions to assigned caseloads (specific grade levels and numbers discussed in the interview)
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, including teachers and special education staff
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Provide clear, accurate documentation to ensure compliance with school and state standards
- Communicate progress and strategies with families and caregivers
