Speech Therapist in Falls Church, VA
A dynamic school-based opportunity is now available for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about working with students on the autism spectrum. Located near Falls Church, VA, this rewarding contract role starts in August and provides a collaborative, supportive environment focused on student success. Work onsite with individuals ages 5–22, each diagnosed with some level of Autism, and help them achieve meaningful communication goals.
This position requires 30-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am–4:00pm. Both experienced SLPs with CCC credentials and Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply—supervision and mentorship are readily available. If you are a travel SLP eager to get licensed in Virginia or willing to relocate quickly, you are welcome to submit your application. Please note: SLPAs are not eligible for consideration at this time.
What you bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Virginia SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- CCC-SLP certification, or Clinical Fellow seeking supervision
- Experience or strong interest in working with autistic individuals ages 5–22
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary school team
- Commitment to creating inclusive, individualized therapy plans
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct therapy services to students with autism
- Conducting evaluations and maintaining thorough documentation
- Participating in IEP meetings and developing personalized treatment plans
- Consulting with families, teachers, and support staff to maximize student progress
