Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF)
- State licensure or ability to obtain state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and screenings for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEPs
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and support staff to integrate goals into classrooms
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Monitor student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Educate and engage with families to support communication development at home
