A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving students in a K-8 school setting in Beach Park, IL, near Waukegan and Grayslake. The role requires working approximately 30 hours per week, with a start date as soon as possible and continuing through May 29, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments and interventions to students from kindergarten through 8th grade.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
- Experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Location:
- Beach Park, IL, with service to surrounding communities such as Waukegan and Grayslake.
- K-8 educational environment.
