Provide specialized speech-language pathology services within a collaborative educational cooperative serving multiple school districts in the Emporia, KS area. This role involves supporting students with communication disorders, enhancing their ability to participate fully in their educational programs. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, accommodating both full-time and part-time availability, with onsite responsibilities across various cooperative locations within approximately an hour of Emporia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to students presenting a range of communication challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain compliance with state and district standards.
- Travel regularly to multiple districts within the cooperative, ensuring consistent support across sites.
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs over caseloads of 10-12 students daily or up to 50-55 students weekly.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to multiple cooperative locations within a one-hour radius of Emporia.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate either full-time or part-time availability.
