Travel School Speech Therapist | Elk River, Minnesota
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a travel assignment in Elk River, MN, to cover a leave from April 9th through June 5th. This role supports early childhood through 2nd-grade students in a school setting. With a caseload of 55 students, the position follows a 3:1 service delivery model, allowing for two indirect weeks focused on paperwork, communication, and meetings within the eight-week assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to early childhood through 2nd-grade students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and manage a caseload of approximately 55 students
- Utilize a 3:1 service delivery model to efficiently balance direct therapy sessions with documentation and coordination tasks
- Participate in team meetings and maintain compliance with school and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Eligible for or holding a Certificate of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school settings
- Familiarity with early childhood to elementary educational environments
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseload and collaborate effectively
- Ability to travel and work full-time hours (37.5 hours/week) for the duration of the assignment
