Speech and Language Pathologist - Edison, NJ
Exciting opportunities await for experienced and early-career Speech-Language Pathologists seeking contract positions within supportive elementary school environments for Fall 2026. Three full-time SLPs are needed for 12-week maternity leave coverage, beginning in September. Assignments include working at elementary schools with high Autism and preschool populations (Grades K-5), with one additional position to be determined. These onsite-only roles are ideal for passionate clinicians invested in making a positive impact in early education.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current New Jersey SLP License
- Valid NJ SLS Certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered with external supervision
- Previous school-based SLP experience and familiarity with Autism supports highly desirable
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to onsite service delivery; this position does not permit remote/hybrid work or SLPAs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct speech and language therapy for students in K-5 and preschool programs
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver evidence-based interventions, especially for students with Autism and diverse language needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
