A full-time opportunity is available for a skilled bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in early childhood and pediatrics within a school setting. This role requires an IL Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement and a valid IL SLP license. Positioned in Streamwood, IL, this contract position offers a 37.5-hour workweek with potential itinerant responsibilities across one to two schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and interventions for early childhood and elementary students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to bilingual (Spanish and English) students.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy techniques to meet evolving student needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement required.
- Current Illinois speech-language pathology license is mandatory.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (bilingual skills) to effectively serve diverse student populations.
- Experience in early childhood and pediatric speech-language pathology.
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple school sites.
