A rewarding contract opportunity is open for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students for the remainder of the school year. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in school-based therapy, stepping in to cover a medical leave within a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in children from preschool through high school
- Strong communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills
- Flexibility and reliability for full-time assignment (Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week)
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations as needed, completing all required documentation in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and monitor student growth
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in multidisciplinary discussions
- Maintain up-to-date records and communicate effectively with families regarding student needs and progress
