School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Edison, New Jersey
Exciting opportunities await speech-language pathologists seeking a rewarding contract assignment starting Fall 2026! Three full-time roles are available in thriving elementary school settings, supporting students from preschool through 5th grade. These positions focus on providing high-quality speech and language services, particularly for preschool and elementary-age children with a high incidence of Autism. Assignments begin in September and run for 12 weeks, with each role offering 35+ onsite hours per week.
Your expertise will help shape students’ communication skills, working alongside dedicated education professionals in a supportive environment. Supervision for Clinical Fellows (CFs) must be arranged externally, as the district cannot provide it—applicants with CCCs are especially encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
- Active NJ Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Valid NJ Speech-Language Specialist (SLS) Certification
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorders a plus
- CCCs preferred; CFs welcome with external supervision
- SLPAs cannot be considered for these roles
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students (preschool through grade 5)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to support student growth
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support plans
