This contract role is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with CCC or SLPAs passionate about supporting elementary-aged learners. This full-time position covers approximately 40 hours per week (8.5-hour days with a .5-hour unpaid lunch) from August 14, 2026, through May 27, 2027. You will manage a caseload of around 47 students across two schools, delivering essential speech and language services – strictly onsite, as teletherapy/VOCO is not an option.
Key Qualifications:
- Current AK certification and licensure for SLP or SLPA (required)
- Active ASHA CCC (for SLPs)
- Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
- Skilled in assessment, planning, and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
- Professional, flexible, and organized
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and direct therapy to students with speech and language disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
