Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time role within Eagle County School District RE-50. This position supports Middle School students (Grades 6th–8th) in a Significant Support Needs classroom setting.
Key Details
Duration: Immediate Start – May 28, 2026 (with potential for extension)
Caseload: Small caseload of 5 students
Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule:
Mon / Tue / Thu / Fri: 8:40 AM – 3:50 PM
Wed: 9:40 AM – 3:50 PM
Responsibilities
Provide direct instruction and individualized support for a classroom of students with Significant Support Needs.
Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Collaborate with school staff, specialists, and parents to support student development and goals.
Requirements
Active Colorado Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain).
Experience working with middle school students and Significant Support Needs caseloads preferred.
