Speech Language Pathologist in Durham, NC

Bring your expertise in Speech-Language Pathology to a vibrant, collaborative educational environment in the Durham, NC area. This contract role offers the opportunity to support elementary students across two campuses per assignment while making a meaningful impact as part of a dynamic SLP team. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 2027, you'll help manage robust caseloads in partnership with primary SLPs, providing crucial services to help young learners thrive.
What you'll need:
- Active North Carolina SLP license
- Current educator certificate
- Minimum of one year of school-based SLP experience
- Ability to obtain an NPI number and complete NC Tracks registration before your start date
- Eligible for clearance through DCDEE fingerprinting and SOR background checks
- Flexibility to travel between two assigned schools, with assignments based on district needs
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive SLP services to elementary-age students in collaboration with school-based teams
- Support robust caseloads, tailoring your approach based on IEP hours and individual student workload, rather than set student numbers
- Partner closely with the main SLP at each school to ensure consistency, quality, and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all students served
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and fellow clinicians to provide holistic student support
