Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in young children.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with multidisciplinary teams.
- Deliver direct therapy in individual, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to embed speech and language goals into curricula.
- Monitor, document, and maintain student progress records per regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and transition planning.
- Support early intervention and inclusive preschool special education programs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain best practices and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure and/or certification (ASHA CCC-SLP, CFY eligible, or relevant state credentials).
- Experience with preschool-aged children in early intervention or public school settings preferred.
- Knowledge of child development, early literacy, play-based learning, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience serving diverse student populations.
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and special education eligibility procedures.
