A Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Dover, Delaware, providing essential support to elementary students facing speech and language challenges. This travel position focuses on assisting approximately 55 students within an elementary school setting for the 2022-2023 school year, helping children improve communication skills related to articulation, voice, fluency, and language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess student eligibility for speech and language services, including areas such as articulation/phonology, abnormal voice, fluency, and language disorders.
  • Review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) annually, and conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations.
  • Schedule and deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students’ needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents, offering strategies and adjustments to assist with communicative difficulties in educational programs.
  • Provide occasional supervision as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Delaware State licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience or internship in pediatrics, speech-language pathology within school settings, or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to work with educators and families.

Location:

  • Dover, Delaware – Travel assignment in an elementary school environment.
