SLP Responsibilities
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative speech-language services to students identified with communication disorders.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Providing direct therapeutic services to students
- Developing and implementing appropriate speech-language interventions
- Consulting with teachers, administrators, families, and school support staff
- Supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development
- Collaborating with the educational team to address student communication needs
- Maintaining documentation and completing required reports
- Providing services in compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and applicable state and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Active Michigan SLP license required
- Pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and school staff
