A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a full-time contract opportunity within a school serving students from 1st through 12th grade, focusing on those with Autism. This position is available immediately and will continue through mid-June, working Monday through Friday from 7:55am to 3:06pm. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team to assess, develop, and implement individualized speech and language interventions for a caseload of approximately 37 students.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Michigan SLP license, or ability to obtain prior to start
- Experience or strong interest working with school-aged children, specifically in special education or Autism support settings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments and provide direct therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop IEP goals and deliver targeted interventions
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each student
- Provide support and resources to staff regarding best practices for students with communication needs
