Preferred Background and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure/certification as required for SLPs
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP setting strongly preferred
- Skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and language disorders in children
- Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary school support team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging learning environment for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff to support students’ educational access and growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team consultations
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of student progress and service delivery
- Utilize a variety of therapy techniques and assistive technology to meet student needs
