School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Detroit, Michigan

Make an impact supporting students by providing speech-language therapy services in an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) setting for the 2026–2027 school year. This onsite opportunity offers the chance to work with a meaningful caseload of 40–55 students while collaborating with dedicated educational professionals.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in school-based SLP positions strongly preferred
- Expertise and passion for serving students with ASD
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to engage with students, staff, and families in a positive, collaborative manner
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students identified with communication needs, specifically within ASD classrooms
- Administer assessments, interpret results, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor progress and document services/therapy provided according to school and state requirements
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and parents to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Provide staff training or consultation related to communication strategies when appropriate
