School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Destin, Florida

Step into an engaging opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students in the beautiful Panhandle region, just north of Destin, FL. This contract position begins August 2026 and runs through early June 2027, offering the chance to work hands-on with students from Pre-K through young adulthood in one or two school settings, depending on your caseload preference.
You’ll deliver impactful speech and language services at inspiring campuses, with the support of a collaborative educational team. Assignments may be based at a single school or split between two locations; specific caseload details and age groups will be discussed during the interview process. This role requires on-site presence only, with a full-time schedule of up to 37.5 hours a week.
What you’ll need to bring:
- Current FL DOH Provisional SLP License (active and in good standing)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Flexibility to work with a diverse student population, serving age groups from Pre-K to 22 years as assigned
- Ability to reliably commute to Niceville, Crestview, or Ft. Walton locations
- Successful completion of time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprint clearance (prior valid FL school fingerprints may expedite this process) and JLA badge acquisition
- Adaptability, a collaborative approach, and passion for empowering student success
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech-language and communication disorders in the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Provide direct interventions and consultative services for a varied caseload
- Maintain accurate compliance-focused documentation
