School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Destin, Florida

Ready to make a difference in students’ lives while working in a supportive school environment? As a contract Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll provide on-site services to students at either Northwood Elementary or Southside School (PreK) in the Crestview area, north of Destin, Florida. This full-time assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through June 1, 2027, and offers up to 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to focus on a single campus and build lasting connections with students and staff.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active provisional Speech Language Pathologist license from the Florida Department of Health
- Strongly prefer candidates with prior school-based SLP experience
- Must be able to complete fingerprinting and credentialing requirements, including JLA badge process
- Capable of delivering on-site, in-person services (remote/virtual not available)
- Adaptable and communicative, with a passion for supporting diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services and interventions to students as assigned, with caseload details provided during the interview process
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ speech and language goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed throughout the school year
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal policies related to speech-language services
