A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available starting at the end of March in an elementary school setting, serving students from kindergarten through 5th grade in Des Plaines, IL. This contract position supports an FMLA absence and requires strong skills in speech-language pathology (SLP), with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred. Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are highly desired to better serve the diverse student population.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy and assessments to K-5 students in a school environment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation and adhere to school policies and procedures related to therapy services
  • Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure and CCC in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working in an educational or pediatric setting preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff
  • Knowledge of current speech therapy practices and educational guidelines
