Travel School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Denver, Colorado
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) to support students with mild to severe needs in a K-8th grade setting in the northern suburbs of Denver, CO. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) at a center-based classroom serving approximately 40 students, including those with moderate to severe disabilities.
Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, writing service notes, providing direct speech therapy services, and managing caseloads where speech is the sole related service on IEPs. Speech therapy minutes are scheduled monthly. For Clinical Fellows, supervision is provided by the district to support professional growth. The role requires a valid or in-process Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credential; candidates must specify their credential status upon application.
The district practices a thorough two-step interview process starting with a 15-30 minute screening via Teams with the director of integrated services, followed by a 30-45 minute panel interview preferably conducted in-person, although virtual options can be accommodated. Interviews are primarily scheduled on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates from out of state or those in the process of relocating are welcome, but the district requests updates on relocation progress during submission.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification or Clinical Fellow status.
- Experience or interest in serving mild to severe student populations.
- Willingness to undergo a two-step interview process.
- Ability to manage caseloads, complete evaluations, and provide direct services.
- Must be pursuing or hold a Colorado Department of Education credential.
